¿Recuerdan a Zoi, nuestra corresponsal en California?

Do you remember Zoi, our California correspondent?

Bueno, esta vez se fue hasta Capitola, una pequeña localidad playera que alberga numerosas galerías, tiendas modernas, boutiques y restaurantes. Y como siempre nos envió fotos de las tiendas de joyería por allá, que nosotras vamos a compartir contigo.

Por cierto, Capitola ya está en nuestra lista de sitio donde absoluta y positivamente tenemos que ir en el futuro cercano (significa tan pronto como podamos ¿pero hay que será positiva, verdad?)

Well, this time she went all the way to Capitola, a beautiful beach village, home to numerous craft galleries, trendy shops, boutiques and restaurants. And as always, she sent is some photos of the jewelry scene over there, which we are going to share with you.

By the way, Capitola is already on our list of places we’re absolutely, positively going to travel to in the near future (this means as soon as we can, but you have to be positive, right?).

Todavía está en el túnel - She's still in the tunnel

Todavía en el misterioso túnel, Cristina con mucha valentía sigue enviándonos la Parte II de su reseña ilustrativa. ¡Es valiente, esta chica!

Ha luchado contra todas las dificultades para enviarnos las reseñas anteriores como nuestra enviada especial-turista-corresponsal en Lisboa –las que podrás ver aquí, aquí, aquí y aquí- y no será un pequeño (gigante) túnel del futuro lo que le va a impedir de enviar ésta.

Por cierto, todavía no hemos podido descifrar el mensaje de ayer, si puedes ayudar solo avisa.

Still in the mysterious tunnel Cristina bravely continues to send us Part II of her illustrative review. She’s a brave girl, this one!

She has struggled against all odds to send the previous reviews as our special envoy-tourist-correspondent in Lisbon -which you can see here, here, here and here- and it’s not a tiny (huge) tunnel in the future what’s keeping her from sending this one.

By the way, we still haven’t been able to decode yesterday’s message, feel free to help if you can.

Solo a título informativo, Descontos no es el nombre de esta tienda, significa Descuentos. Si tuviese que adivinar diría que este es el mejor momento para salir a comprar, tomando en cuenta todas las bellezas que tienen, y que los Descuentos deben ser significativos para que lo publiquen en todas las vitrinas.

Just so you know, Descontos isn’t the name of this store, it means Sales. If I had to guess I would think this is the best moment to go shopping, considering all the gorgeous things they have and that the Sales must be significant if they publish this on all the shop windows.

Is anybody travelling to Lisbon in the next few days? Just so that you can bring me a few little things…

Y tienen que estar de acuerdo en que el casco queda perfectamente combinado con este mini vestido. Aunque quedo un poquito aprehensiva sobre por qué necesitan el casco para usar el vestido, no sé ustedes.

And you have to agree that the helmet looks perfect combined with this mini dress. Although I’m a bit apprehensive over why they would need a helmet to wear the dress, I don’t know about you.

Por extraño que parezca, esta tienda se llama la Tienda De Las Medias. ¡Sorpresa!

¿Alguien ha visto un par de medias por ahí? ¿Tal vez antes solo vendían medias y cambiaron de ramo? ¿Es una estrategia de mercadeo? Solo ellos saben, pero tienes que admitir que es un misterio más, en esta reseña misteriosa.

As strange as it seems, this store’s name is The Sock Store. Surprise!

Has anybody seen some socks around? Maybe they sold socks and changed the type of merchandise? Is it a marketing strategy? Only they know, but you have to admit it: it’s another mystery in this mysterious review.

Vamos con otra tienda. Ahora hablando en serio, acerca de este sombrero, realmente me gusta la cesta. Ya lo sé, no hay una pisca de romántica en mí. Pero es lindo.

Tal vez Cristina tiene problemas con la policía Británica ¿y eso es lo que nos trataba de decir ? ¿Y esto es un mensaje cifrado? ¿Alguien sabe descifrar mensajes?

So, the last three photos are from Urbaks, Barcelona, which for some strange reason has a lot of British policemen on the front page of their web.

Maybe Cristina is in trouble with the British police and that’s what she was trying to tell us? And this is a coded message? Anyone knows how to decode a message?

Desde una ubicación secreta - From a secret location

Nuestra turista-corresponsal en Lisboa está realmente ganándose el sueldo.

Desde una ubicación secreta que parece una mezcla de túnel en alguna parte del futuro y una película de James Bond, Cristina (su alias, no le digas a nadie) nos acaba de enviar un nuevo lote de fotos de bellas tiendas alrededor de la ciudad.

Our tourist-correspondent in Lisbon is really earning her keep.

From an undisclosed location, which from the looks of it seems like a mix of a tunnel from somewhere in the future and a James Bond movie, Cristina (her code name, don’t tell anybody) has just sent us a new batch of photos from beautiful stores around the city.

Y Cristina -aquí representando su papel, con ese aire de misterio- está mejorando cada día más.

Nuevas Tendencias En Lisboa - New Trends In Lisbon

Nuestra corresponsal en Lisboa, Cristina, sigue pasándola bien y envíanos fotos con las tendencias que se pueden ver por allá.

Puedes ver las primeras que nos envió aquí, y las segundas aquí. Hay algo de diferencia en lo que respecta a la ropa así que ve a echar una miradita primero.

Our correspondent in Lisbon, Cristina, continues to have a great time and sending photos of trends going on over there.

Primero que todo, joyas magnificas en todas partes. Disculpa la calidad de las fotos pero fueron tomadas con el celular, creo que le tenemos que enviar mejor equipo (es chiste Cristina, no te entusiasmes!). De todas formas creo que todavía podemos ver algunos diseños absolutamente impactantes.

First of all, stunning jewelry everywhere. Sorry for the quality of the photos they were shot with her phone, I guess we’ll have to send her better equipment (just joking Cristina, don’t get your hopes up!) We can still see some pretty amazing designs, though.

En cuanto a la ropa, se puede ver claramente una tendencia hacia el uso de colores más oscuros como en estos bellos marrones y rosados, así como líneas más sencillas; me encanta el vestido del medio.

Aunque todavía es verano, creo que está deseando que llegue el otoño. Y rápido, porque el calor es tanto –40 grados algunos días- que todo el mundo está deseando que lleguen días más frescos.

Moving on to the clothes, I can clearly see a tendency to the use of darker colors like these beautiful browns and rose tones and very simple lines, just love the dress in the middle.

Even though it’s still summer, it seems to me as if they’re longing for fall to come. And fast, because the heat is so extreme -40 degrees some days- that everybody is kind of wishing for cooler days.

Una de las tendencias en bisutería es hacia modelos grandes y llamativos, muy sencillos pero todavía impactantes. Mucho material natural como cuerdas y cuentas de madera, tal como este que te enseñamos aquí.

One of the trends in bijoux is big and bold designs, very simple but still impacting. Lots of natural materials, ropes and wooden beads, just like this one we have here for you.

Aun así, el verano no se ha terminado y los colores fuertes no se han ido todavía. Aquí puedes ver algunos ejemplos (también me gusta este vestido) junto con accesorios y lindos bikinis. Hay un poco de cada cosa para que elijas.

Still, summer isn’t over yet and bright colors haven’t completely gone away. Here you have a few examples (also love this dress) complete with accessories and nice pretty bikinis. There’s a bit of everything, it’s your choice.
