Hay un corte facetado de diamantes que se llama Corte Rosa. Se llama así por la forma en que las facetas están agrupadas para que parezcan un botón de rosa que se está abriendo.

Si tienes suerte puedes conseguir un Corte Rosa en diamantes de diferentes formas, ya sea ovalado, en forma de pera o triangular.

Aquí no encontrarás diamantes, por supuesto, solo bellos cristales. Sin embargo, en un homenaje a la historia y estilos Vintage, queríamos diseñar una pieza que recordara la sensación de usar algo tan bello como una joya Vintage original.

There is such thing as a Rose Cut when speaking of diamonds. This cut is named after the way the facets are grouped to resemble an opening rosebud.

If you’re lucky enough, you can get a Rose Cut in different diamond shapes, from oval and pear shapes to triangular.

Now, these are not diamonds of course, just beautiful crystals; however, in a nod to history and older Vintage styles, we wanted to make a design that evoked the feeling of wearing something as beautiful as an original Vintage jewel.

Uno de los planes que teníamos cuando iniciamos este blog era presentar el trabajo creativo de otros, a través de reseñas sobre trabajos de artistas, piezas que nos gustaran especialmente; tal vez algunas entrevistas donde el artista pudiese expresarse libremente sobre su trabajo, procesos, técnicas, gustos, desagrados, dar consejos a otros creativos e información similar.

Hasta ahora no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de seguir mucho esta idea pero vamos a comenzar ahora mismo, y continuaremos haciéndolo ocasionalmente.

Aprovechando el viaje de “la otra mitad de este blog” descubrimos el trabajo de Eugenio Campos.

Nos fascinó así que hoy publicaremos algunos de sus diseños.

Se trata de joyería muy sofisticada y elegante, combinando plata, oro, diamantes, piedras preciosas, semi-preciosas y cristales de circonio. El resultado es magnífico y tiene un aspecto arquitectónico, moderno y a la vez un muy llamativo hecho a mano.

One of the plans we had when we started this blog was to feature creative work done by others; through outlines of artists whose work we especially liked, maybe some interviews where the artist had the opportunity to speak freely about his/her work, processes, techniques, likes, dislikes, give advice to other creators and so forth.

Until now we hadn’t had the opportunity to follow this idea very much but we are starting right now, and will continue to do so occasionally.

Trough the trip of “the other half of this blog” we found the work of Eugenio Campos and are fascinated by it, so today we are featuring his designs.

Very sophisticated and elegant jewelry, combining silver, gold, diamonds, precious and semi-precious gems as well as cubic zirconium crystals. The end result is magnificent and has a certain architectural, modern and yet also very appealing handmade aspect.
